Sorry for not updating about the Cg messags recently because i kind of got back to school and settle some stuff and now i am kind of back to my job on updating recent event and CG messages....
I think i owe you all two cg messages so i am going to post in now.2 in 1 since the two messages are closely related.
During our first CG meeting jem taught us about "Vision Enlarges You"
-When we grow glory to glory, Our visions enlarges...
Samuel 14:25
25 Now in all Israel there was no one who was praised as much as Absalom for his good looks. From the sole of his foot to the crown of his head there was no blemish in him.
This verse shows that Absalom is the son of David so he was eligible to be a king but he wasn't called by God to be a king!
Samuel 15:1-4
1 After this it happened that Absalom provided himself with chariots and horses, and fifty men to run before him. 2 Now Absalom would rise early and stand beside the way to the gate. So it was, whenever anyone who had a lawsuit came to the king for a decision, that Absalom would call to him and say, “What city are you from?” And he would say, “Your servant is from such and such a tribe of Israel.” 3 Then Absalom would say to him, “Look, your case is good and right; but there is no deputy of the king to hear you.” 4 Moreover Absalom would say, “Oh, that I were made judge in the land, and everyone who has any suit or cause would come to me; then I would give him justice.”
This verse shows that Absalom rebelled against king David and tried to get rid of David to be the next King and tried to steal David's kingdom by seducing David's people.
*But as christians we all know that it is not possible as David was anointed by Samuel through God's will.
Genesis 19:23-26
23 The sun had risen upon the earth when Lot entered Zoar. 24 Then the LORD rained brimstone and fire on Sodom and Gomorrah, from the LORD out of the heavens. 25 So He overthrew those cities, all the plain, all the inhabitants of the cities, and what grew on the ground. 26 But his wife looked back behind him, and she became a pillar of salt.
In the verse, Lot and his family is to flee from his place as God was going to destroy that city and when God asked then not to look back and see whats happening and when Lot's wife looked back, she was turned into a pillar. The shows that we should not look at the past and don't let your past hinder your past.
we have seen people with wrong visions, Now let us see
-people with right vision-
-Abraham-
Genesis 12:1-3
1 Now the LORD had said to Abram: “Get out of your country, From your family And from your father’s house, To a land that I will show you.
2 I will make you a great nation; I will bless you And make your name great; And you shall be a blessing.
3 I will bless those who bless you, And I will curse him who curses you; And in you all the families of the earth shall be blessed.”
-This was the promises God gave to Abraham-
Genesis 15:5
5 Then He brought him outside and said, “Look now toward heaven, and count the stars if you are able to number them.” And He said to him, “So shall your descendants be.”
Abraham was old and he knew that logically he and his wife cannot bore children and he was down and he was losing faith. Then God spoke to him and showed him the stars.
Genesis 22:17
17 blessing I will bless you, and multiplying I will multiply your descendants as the stars of the heaven and as the sand which is on the seashore; and your descendants shall possess the gate of their enemies.
There are two people who fulfilled thier calling were Joshua and Kalep. Now we are going to look at Joshua's life.
-Joshua-
Joshua 6:2
2 And the LORD said to Joshua: “See! I have given Jericho into your hand, its king, and the mighty men of valor.
In here, like our life, whatever we have not conquered before, we can conquere it.
Acts 16:6-10
6 Now when they had gone through Phrygia and the region of Galatia, they were forbidden by the Holy Spirit to preach the word in Asia. 7 After they had come to Mysia, they tried to go into Bithynia, but the Spirit[a] did not permit them. 8 So passing by Mysia, they came down to Troas. 9 And a vision appeared to Paul in the night. A man of Macedonia stood and pleaded with him, saying, “Come over to Macedonia and help us.” 10 Now after he had seen the vision, immediately we sought to go to Macedonia, concluding that the Lord had called us to preach the gospel to them.
Habakuk 2:2-4
2 Then the LORD answered me and said: “ Write the vision And make it plain on tablets, That he may run who reads it. 3 For the vision is yet for an appointed time; But at the end it will speak, and it will not lie. Though it tarries, wait for it; Because it will surely come, It will not tarry. 4 “ Behold the proud, His soul is not upright in him; But the just shall live by his faith.
This scripture shows that:
-Vision must be written down
-Clear and simple
-Every Vision must inspire
Genesis 9:11
11 Thus I establish My covenant with you: Never again shall all flesh be cut off by the waters of the flood; never again shall there be a flood to destroy the earth.”
Genesis 34:24
24 And all who went out of the gate of his city heeded Hamor and Shechem his son; every male was circumcised, all who went out of the gate of his city.
In closing he said that,"We have enlarge our dreams that we have inside of us."
